Moment of Inertia

Moment of inertia of any body defines its ability to resist angular acceleration. The moment of inertia is varied by mass of the particle in a body and its distance from the axis of rotation.
This experiment shows a simple ramp where four objects of the different profile (hence different moment of inertia) were left to roll without the variable of slippage.

The objects are, from back to front:
  1. A hollow spherical shell (red)
  2. A solid ball (orange)
  3. A ring (green)
  4. A solid cylinder (blue)
