Spur gear - Solidworks

A gear is a rotating machine part having cut teeth which mesh with another toothed part to transmit torque. Geared devices can change the speed, torque, and direction of a power source.

1. First download a file from this site.
2. Open the "Gear_Blank" file with SW. 
3. Click "Configuration Manager" in "Feature Manager Tree". Now can see "Tables". 
4. Click "Tables" and You can able to see "Design Table". 
5. Right Click "Design Table" and Select "Edit Table in New Window". Now the file opening with Excel Sheet. 
6. Here may edit Module or Number of Teeth on corresponding coloumn. Pitch circle = Module * Number of teeth. 
7. Now after changing the value of Module of No.of Teeth "Save" the file and "Close". 
8. In SW working area can see the "Gear" with appropriate dimensions.
